FYI...

There has been a lot of speculation that one can read the book of Revelation and determine that the current events in the Middle East are signs of Armageddon.

As a life-long Catholic, I can tell you this:

Looking to the Bible as a source of "things to come" is the equivalent of reading the Farmer's Almanac for the next year's weather report...with the exception that the Farmer's Almanac may be a little more accurate.

I don't know how many times I can say this...the Bible is not meant to be taken literally.

Meanwhile in D.C. - President Bush has issued the first veto of his presidency, rejecting a bill to expand federal research on stem cells obtained from embryos.

Bush's priorities couldn't be more fucked up. He is an utter disgrace to our country and our fellow human counterparts around the world. Never before have I seen a wolf act so well in sheeps clothing...
