Via CNN:

"They said the president also will invoke the September 11, 2001, attacks, arguing once again that the insurgents battling American troops in Iraq share the same ideology as the al Qaeda operatives who crashed hijacked jetliners into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and a Pennsylvania field."

As long as Bush continues to invoke 9/11 in reference to the war in Iraq, I think the conservatives need to shut the hell up about Cindy Sheehan...

I've got gas...

CNN reports on the soaring gas prices and it's effect on the economy:

"Those most likely to be worried about the financial impact are people with low incomes, the unemployed and minorities."

Duh.

Journalism at its finest.

Does anyone vacation as much as our president??

From an article in The Washington Post (thanks to TBOGG):

"The president departed Tuesday for his longest stretch yet away from the White House, arriving at his Crawford ranch in the evening for a stretch of clearing brush, visiting with family and friends, and tending to some outside-the-Beltway politics. By historical standards, it is the longest presidential retreat in at least 36 years."

Now, quick quiz for all of my readers. Can anyone tell me what happened after President "Has Anyone Seen Him Lately?" took his last extended vacation?? I'll give you a hint. How about another hint?

Let's just hope he doesn't get any important memo's from Condi to ignore this time....
